NIGERIANS VOTING YES IN SCOTLAND REFERENDUM

The electorate in Scotland turned out en masse to vote for the future of Scotland as an independent nation. Voters are to vote 'YES' or 'No' to the referendum question that ' SHOULD SCOTLAND BE AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY?'

However some Nigerians residing in Scotland said they voted 'yes' to the referendum because they are better of in an independent Scotland .

Some Scottish said they voted yes because of the future of there children, saying that the Scottish policies on health and education makes it easy to access health care service and free education up to university level. But beside all the benefits they might see, there are also some flaws considering that if Scotland becomes a state, they will cease to use the British Pound Sterling which is the highest currency and also considering the bad effects it will have on their economy.

If Scotland becomes an independent country, it will not be immediately absorbed in the EU which means that a Nigerian with UK visa will have to get a Scottish visa to visit Scotland.
What's your take considering all this, and if you're residing in Scotland, what will be your vote and why?

I have what it takes to govern Lagos- Hamzat

The commissioner of works in Lagos state has said that he has what it takes to govern Lagos state. The commissioner who clocks 50 today, speaks of his chances of clinching the governorship ticket of All Progressive Congress come November....
When asked why he wanted to be the governor of the state, Hamzat said that the challenge of a black man generally is lack of sustaining development

" The issue is that we deal with the wrong things
at home. We talk about Igbo, Yoruba and South-
South, does it matter? The currency we spend
has no coloration. The road that you drive on
does not know or ask where you come from.
When a plane crashes, it doesn’t know if you are
from the South or North.
So, why then do we focus on the wrong things?
That is one of the reasons I said we must look at
the right approach to solve our problems. We
must have somebody that possesses the
experience, humility, integrity and what it takes to
do the job.
I believe I represent those values. That is one of
the reasons I’m presenting myself as a candidate
for the office. Our party, the APC, is lucky
because we have many people who are qualified
to do the job. We don’t need to go and hire
people from outside, borrow someone or be
begging. Within that number as well, there will
also be ratings based on various factors that as a
people we must determine, in terms of experience,
background, education and the rest. But I believe
that at the end of the day, I will carry the day."

The commissioner further said that as Nigerians and Africans, we most not tamper religion with politics...saying that Lagosians should not mind who wins or the religion he or she goes with but should be mindful of moving Lagos state forward.
